Nils History, Part 11: One of Us

Today’s history question:

Was there one moment when you felt that your parents and siblings accepted your mate as a family member?

My family is pretty accepting. They’ve always thought me a bit odd so when they found out about Katrina and I, I think they considered us a “Happy They Found Each Other” couple. Sweet, right? We were both 18 when we met and just a few months after meeting and falling head over heels for each other, I had to move back to Connecticut to save money for my mission. I think my family really knew we were serious when Katrina came out to visit me that summer. We, along with my family, went to the Renaissance Festival in New York as well as the Macey’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We all had a great time and I was as happy as could be to have Katrina there. That’s the first time my parents and some of my siblings got to know Katrina and, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, she’s very likable. I’m pretty sure I have some pictures of that trip. Hmmmmmm……
