I love my wife so much. More than Teslas. More than peanut butter with chocolate. More than DIYing. More than solar. More than pizza. More than sex. More than naps. More than anything. Love me some Katrina. What a year! I’m writing this in September because time slipped away but it’s been a pretty amazing year. Some highlights: Anders decided to go on a mission and has been called to the Copenhagen, Denmark mission We took a family vacation to Alaska on Carnival Cruise Lines and loved it! White Dad Can’t Jump…
Anders just told me that if I can dunk a basketball he’ll put in his mission papers. He promised he’d do it and I said “It’s on.” I’m going to start learning how to get my hops going and dunk that ball. I just wanted to record this for posterity. Let’s see if I can do it and if he’ll follow through. Not a small thing. I don’t think I can even come close to touching the rim right now. Here we go.
Forty-Three
I Quit Another big year in the books. 43 Has been a big one for me because I changed careers – like… totally changed. I quit my job as an Engineering Manager after spending around 17 years in IT & Marketing and became one of them there YouTubers. On November 2, 2020, I walked out of O.C. We spent a while saving up money to essentially self fund out little …
Forty-Two

We have three at the moment, plus Ava, who is 10. This has been one of the toughest experiences of parenting for us. That thing they tell you, about how teenagers brain lobes disconnect and start to reform? It’s true. Our very intelligent little ones are going through a phase of impaired judgement, obliviousness and challenge. I don’t think I do well with it. Katrina is, …
Forty-One
What a year! In many ways, my forty-first year was the best of my life. Here are some highlights. Katrina went back to work part time. She works about 20 hours/week at a Physical Therapist office and it’s been good. There has been a lot of questioning about whether she should be home more or if it’s fine and I’d say all in all it’s worked out just fine. I started my new job as a Software Engineering Manager at O.C. Tanner. In a couple of weeks it will have been a year and it’s been the most challenging and …
